Building material delivery in Cape Town
Already bought your materials but need them moved to site? We transport sand, stone, bricks, blocks, cement and other building materials from your supplier or yard to your site.
What we can transport
- Loose material: building sand, plaster sand, crusher stone and gravel (tipper truck)
- Bricks, blocks and paving on pallets or loose (flatbed or truck)
- Bagged cement, plaster and adhesives
- Timber, roof sheeting and other long items, subject to vehicle length
Weight is the limiting factor
Sand and stone are very heavy. Wet sand can weigh significantly more than dry sand, and a vehicle's legal payload, not the size of the load bed, decides how much it can carry. Tell us the material and approximate quantity (in cubic metres, tonnes, bags or pallets) and we will recommend the right vehicle.
Delivery and offloading
Let us know where the material must be placed, whether a tipper can tip at the drop-off point and whether there is space for the truck to manoeuvre. Pavements, overhead cables, soft ground and steep slopes all affect where material can safely be offloaded.
Please note: this service covers transport. Unless agreed in writing, the cost of the material itself is between you and your supplier.
Where we work
We serve Cape Town and the wider Western Cape, including the West Coast: from the Southern Suburbs and Cape Town CBD to the Northern Suburbs (Bellville, Durbanville), the eastern suburbs (Blue Downs, Eersteriver), the West Coast towns (Table View & Blouberg, Langebaan, Malmesbury, Saldanha & Vredenburg), the Helderberg and the Winelands (Stellenbosch, Paarl, Wellington). Jobs further from the metro may be priced on distance. Your quote will show how. See all service areas.
How building material delivery is priced
Material delivery is usually priced per load or per kilometre, with a minimum charge. Waiting time at the supplier, manual offloading and long distances may add to the cost. Online figures are estimates until the pickup point, drop-off point and load are confirmed.
Building material delivery: common questions
Do you sell building materials?
No. We transport materials you have bought from a supplier, unless something different has been agreed in writing.
Can the truck tip the sand where I need it?
Tipping is possible where there is safe, firm and level space for the truck. Tell us about the drop-off point and any overhead cables, slopes or soft ground.
