Frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about quotes, pricing, bookings and our services.

Quotes and bookings

How do I get a quote?

Use the quote form on this website or send us a WhatsApp message. Include the pickup suburb, destination (if any), what needs moving and photos if possible. Every request gets a reference number.

Is my booking confirmed when I submit the form?

No. Submitting the form sends us an enquiry and your preferred date. We will contact you to confirm the price, the vehicle and an available time window before anything is booked.

Pricing

Are the prices on the website final?

No. Prices shown online are starting prices or estimates based on the information available. Your final price is confirmed in a quote once we know the load, distance, access and any disposal requirements.

Do prices include VAT?

Each price shows whether VAT is included. If you need a tax invoice, mention it when you request a quote.

General

Do you provide loading help?

Yes, loading assistance can be requested for most jobs. Helper charges, if any, are shown on the vehicle listing or in your quote.

What is the difference between tonnes and cubic metres?

Tonnes (or kilograms) measure weight; cubic metres (m³) measure space. A vehicle has a maximum legal payload by weight and a load space by volume. Heavy materials such as rubble and sand hit the weight limit first.

Rubble removal

How much rubble fits in one load?

It depends on both the vehicle's load space and its legal payload. Rubble is heavy, so a truck often reaches its weight limit before it looks full. Send photos or an estimate in cubic metres and we will recommend the right vehicle.

Do I need to bag the rubble?

No. Loose rubble in one accessible pile is usually quickest to load. Bags are fine too, as long as they are not torn or overfilled.

Can you take asbestos, paint or chemicals?

No. Hazardous materials must be handled and disposed of by specialised, licensed contractors. Please keep them out of rubble loads.

Are disposal fees included?

Your quote will state clearly whether disposal fees are included or charged separately. Fees depend on the material and the facility used.

Tipper truck hire with driver

How much does a tipper carry?

It depends on the vehicle's load volume and its legal payload. Dense material such as wet sand or concrete often reaches the weight limit before the body is full, so tell us what the material is and send photos if you can.

Can you tip the load exactly where I want it?

If the spot is firm, level and clear of overhead cables and branches, yes. Otherwise we'll agree the closest safe tipping point when we quote.

Do you load the rubble?

Loading by hand can be included. Tell us how much there is and how far it is from where the truck can stop. If you have a machine on site, loading is much quicker.

Furniture removals

Do you supply helpers to load and carry?

Yes, loading assistance can be requested on the quote form. Tell us how many items there are and about any stairs or long carries so we send the right team.

Do I need to pack everything before the move?

Yes. Please have boxes packed and sealed, drawers emptied and loose parts bagged before the team arrives. It saves time and protects your belongings.

Is my requested date guaranteed?

A requested date is not a confirmed booking. We confirm the date and time window with you directly once the quote has been accepted.

Truck hire with driver

Do I need a special licence to hire a truck?

No. Our trucks are hired with a driver, so you do not drive the vehicle yourself.

What is the difference between payload and volume?

Payload is the maximum weight the vehicle may carry, in kilograms or tonnes. Volume is the size of the load space, in cubic metres. Heavy materials reach the payload limit first, while bulky furniture usually fills the space first.

Is there a minimum hire period?

Some vehicles have a minimum charge or minimum number of hours. This is shown in the pricing section of each vehicle listing.

Bakkie hire with driver

Can a bakkie carry a fridge or couch?

Usually yes, but measure the item first and tell us about it. Tall fridges must be transported carefully and some large couches may need a van or light truck.

Will my items get wet in a bakkie?

A bakkie has an open load bed. If rain is likely or your items must stay dry, ask about an enclosed panel van instead.

Building material delivery

Do you sell building materials?

No. We transport materials you have bought from a supplier, unless something different has been agreed in writing.

Can the truck tip the sand where I need it?

Tipping is possible where there is safe, firm and level space for the truck. Tell us about the drop-off point and any overhead cables, slopes or soft ground.

Junk removal

Do I need to carry the junk outside first?

No. If you request loading assistance, the team will load from where items are stored. Let us know about stairs and access.

What happens to items that still work?

Where practical, usable furniture and appliances can go for donation or recycling instead of landfill. Mention them when you request a quote.

Commercial removals

Can you move us after hours or over a weekend?

After-hours and weekend moves can be requested. A surcharge may apply and will be shown in your quote.

Our building requires contractor paperwork. Can you help?

Tell us what your building management requires when you request a quote, and we will confirm what documentation we can provide.

Long-distance removals

Are toll fees included?

Tolls are charged at cost based on the route and are listed separately in your quote.

How far will you travel?

Coverage depends on the route and timing. Share both addresses when you request a quote and we will confirm before quoting.

Still have a question?

Send us a message on WhatsApp or request a quote and we'll get back to you.
